Your DVD movies are often recorded in dual-layer DVD. A dual-layer DVD holds up to 8.5 GB. The larger the space used, the better the quality of the movie.
If you want to duplicate a movie into a DVD-Ror DVD + R which holds only 4.7GB of data, be prepared to lose some quality as the movie will be compressed to fit the disc size.
You may have to remove features you don't need like foreign language sound tracks, audio commentary or even some or all of the special features.
The more features you remove, the better the quality will be on your duplicate DVD.
